TRAFFIC UPDATE: All lanes back open on Interstate 41 northbound in De Pere

DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has given an update regarding the semi-truck that was jackknifed with a passenger vehicle underneath it on Interstate 41 in De Pere.

According to WisDOT, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office has been able to clear the scene, and all lanes on Interstate 41 in De Pere are reopened at this time.

There is no word on the condition of the driver that suffered life-threatening injuries. Officials were on the scene for over six hours, clearing the wreck.

TRAFFIC UPDATE: Driver sustains life-threatening injuries after I-41 NB crash in De Pere

DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – The Brown County Sheriff’s Office has released additional information about the crash on Interstate 41 northbound in De Pere.

According to authorities, the initial call came in for a reckless driving complaint. The reckless driver then reportedly hit the median and collided with the semi-truck. Eventually, the semi-truck came to a stop and was jackknifed on I-41 northbound with a car stuck under the trailer and on fire.

As a result, the driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of the semi-truck received minor injuries.

Interstate 41 northbound remains closed at this time. Local 5 News will continue monitoring this situation and update you when more details are released.

DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reporting a crash on Interstate 41 in Brown County.

WisDOT states the crash is on Interstate 41 northbound at Mile Marker 162 in the City of De Pere. The crash reportedly happened at 12:30 p.m., and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene. As a result, all lanes are blocked.
