Two Correctional Officers Were Injured After Being Attacked By An Inmate

Two Shawano County Correctional Officers were injured after being attacked by an inmate Monday night. 

The officers were conducting a cell inspection round, during evening lockdown. 

The inmate exited his cell and lunged at an officer striking him multiple times. 

He was then moved to a different housing placement. 

One of the officers was treated and released from an area hospital. 

Both officers have returned to work. 

The inmate possibly faces multiple felony charges.
