United States Postal Service Unveils 200th Anniversary Stamp

The United States Postal Service will unveil the 200th anniversary stamp commemorating the Flag Day Act of 1818 at this year’s Appleton Flag Day Parade.

Ethel Kessler and Kit Hinrichs designed the flag and shows thirteen stripes symbolizing the thirteen colonies and twenty stars.

The annual flag day parade will take place Saturday June 9th at 2pm and the stamp unveiling will be held at Houdini Plaza at 11:30.

In addition, Local Five’s Erin Davisson and Tom Zalaski will host the ceremony and parade.
