Shooting Suspect in Custody

Fond du Lac Police have announced they have arrested Mohamed G. Elmhdati without incident at approximately 6:45 pm.

Members of the SWAT team arrested him in the 100 block of North Sophia Street.

Elmhdati is being held in Fond du Lac County on preliminary charges of Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and Armed Robbery.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

Police Asking For Help in Finding Suspect

Fond du Lac Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Mohamed G. Elmhdati  in connection with this afternoon’s shooting incident.

A temporary felony arrest warrant has been issued for Elmhdati’s arrest for Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and Armed Robbery.

Elmhdati was last seen driving in a newer model Ford Escape, grey in color with a bug shield on the front with 2 circular designs or “eyes” on it.

One Fond du Lac man is okay after suffering a gunshot wound on Tuesday, February 26th around 3:40 pm.

The City of Fond du Lac Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Division Street and Lincoln Ave in the City of Fond du Lac. 

When they arrived, the 25-year-old man suffered a gunshot would to the leg. He was taken to St. Agnes Hospital with the non-life threatening injury.

The suspect that allegedly shot the man was last seen possibly getting into a light colored SUV and is described as a white male wearing a dark multi-colored jacket. 

The preliminary investigtaion shows that this was not a random incident.
