Overnight Downtown Parking May Soon Cost Money

A Green Bay Overnight Parking Policy was the topic in a Green Bay Committee Meeting tonight.

It is currently free to park overnight in the downtown area all week.

However, as a study was conducted by Desman Associates (third-party contractor), they concluded the policy was being abused.

A plan was presented to the Improvements and Service Committee to charge two dollars a night for parking after 6 PM.

If approved, the parking ramps will also go to two dollars a day instead of the current hourly rate the city charges.

The Committee denied the request tonight, and the city council will now get to decide the outcome.
