The 17-year-old has been identified as Grant Madsen from the Town of Caledonia.
The accident is still under investigation.

The New London School District has confirmed to Local 5 the 17-year-old boy from Fremont was a New London High School student.
The District says extra counselors have been called to the school to help students and staff cope with the tragedy. All activities for the day have been canceled.

On Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 4:23 p.m., the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a 911 call of a two vehicle accident with one person found unresponsive.
The crash occurred on Hwy 45, half a mile north of Cty Hwy N. It was determined that a southbound vehicle lost control, crossed into the oncoming lane, and a northbound vehicle struck the southbound vehicle.
The operator of the southbound vehicle, a 17-year-old teenage boy, from rural Fremont died from his injuries.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Bear Creek Fire first responders, New London Gold Cross, Wisconsin State Patrol, and Waupaca County Highway Department.
Names are being withheld upon notification of family.
The traffic crash is currently under investigation.
