UPDATE: Sheboygan Police have determined that the death of the child was accidental.
According to their investigation, the baby boy climbed out of a crib and suffocated after becoming entangled in cords that were attached to window blinds.
The child was at the home of a caregiver, but the home was not licensed as a daycare. The investigation has now been turned over to Sheboygan County Health and Human Services and the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families.
At this time, authorities are asking the public to respect the privacy of the victim’s family and caregiver.
