UPDATE: 9:45 A.M.
An adult pedestrian was killed on Highway 116 near Wiesner Road on Friday, according to Lt. Lori Seiler with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office.
Seiler says the pedestrian was struck by a car around just before 7:00 a.m.
Seiler added that alcohol was not a factor. We’ll keep you posted with more info as it becomes available.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says they are investigating a serious traffic crash on Highway 116 near Wiesner Road.
They tweeted the information out at 7:50 a.m. on Friday. They’re encouraging drivers to take Highway 116 to Oak Hill Road to County Trunk F to County Trunk D, back to Highway 116.
