UPDATE: Prison Escapee Caught

UPDATE 4/25/2018

According to police,

Investigators were led to a residence in the 1800 BLK of Badger St. in Green Bay.

Officers entered an apartment with the goal of locating Christine Abel and, according to police, Ms. Abel attempted to hide and conceal herself after multiple attempts for her to comply.

Police say investigators found Abel and took her into custody with the help of department K9 Roco, K9 Officer Clark, and with the assistance of other officers and investigators.

When criminals come to Green Bay, we will spare no resource, staff or equipment to catch them and bring them to justice.

Thank you to everyone that spent hours investigating, locating, and apprehending Ms. Abel.

We will forever be committed to ridding the community of criminals and disorder.


On Sunday, April 22nd around 10:30 am the Green Bay Police recovered a stolen pick up truck that was reported stolen in Racine County. 

The truck was located on Green Bay’s west side. The Police are working to determine if the stolen vehicle is related to a prison escapee from the Racine area. 

Christine Abel, 36, is the woman who escaped last week from Robert E. Ellsworth Correctional Center in Racine County.

If anybody sees Christine Abel you’re asked not to approach her and call the local police.
