Semi that caught fire was hauling 41,000 lbs. of meat

MONDAY 4/8/19 8:53 a.m.

Outagamie County, Wis. (WFRV) — Grand Chute Fire Department says the semi-truck that caught fire Monday morning was hauling 41,000 lbs. of meat.

Firefighters say when they arrived they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the semi-trailer.

The fire was extinguished using two engines and a water tender.

No injuries were reported.

Officials are not releasing a dollar loss estimate at this time.

Semi-Truck Catches Fire Closes NB I-41 at WIS 15

MONDAY 4/8/19 6:33 a.m.

Outagamie County, Wis. (WFRV) — Expect delays in Outagamie County due to a semi-truck that caught on fire.

Officials say the semi caught fire just after 6:00 Monday morning.

The northbound lanes on I-41 at WIS 15 are closed.

Delays are expected to last at least two hours.
