Around 11:15 a.m. Thursday, the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office says they discontinued their search. They say they were able to identify the person and no longer believe he was in the area. There is an ongoing investigation throughout multiple jurisdictions, but no further information will be released. The Sheriff’s Office says around 1:02 p.m. they received a report that the person they were looking for may have been near Oostburg. They reviewed that footage and say the party there was not the person they were looking for.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office has a message for Northeast Wisconsin communities regarding a suspicious incident.
They say around 9 a.m. on Thursday they were notified of a suspicious incident that happened in the Town of Wilson near Sauk Trail and Middle Road. Deputies are looking for a black man with dread lock-style hair. According to the Sheriff’s Office he is six-foot tall, weighs 200 pounds, and has both ears pierced. He was wearing an orange and black t-shirt, with blue jeans.
Deputies believe he is armed with a handgun. They say attempts to contact several people and businesses in the area have been done to let them know about the situation.
The Sheriff’s Office adds he is an alleged suspect in an incident that happened in Manitowoc County.
