UPDATE: Suspects Wanted in UW Oshkosh Armed Robbery

Local News

Update: 5:52 p.m.

Police are searching for two suspects after an armed robbery that took place at Reeve Memorial Union on the campus of U.W. Oshkosh. around 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday.

The two suspects robbed a courier for Thillens, an ATM company. The suspects are described as a black male and a white or mixed-race male. Both had handguns.

Police say they believe the courier was targeted, as Thillens has been robbed three times since September. All of those robberies were in the Madison area, and the suspects appear to be the same as in Wednesday’s robbery. The suspects didn’t get any money from the courier, but did steal a handgun from him, then immediately fled the campus in a tan 4 door vehicle.

Sophomores Julia Anderson, Tessa Konkol, and Zach Pearson say a friend of theirs talked to the suspects shortly before the robbery. The suspects asked him if he had marijuana.

“He said they were just acting very weird and, like, out of it, and so he just walked away,” Anderson said.

Police alerted the campus of the robbery within minutes. They say that students were not at risk.

Most of the student body appeared to be in a calm and cool mood after the incident.

“Everything seems completely normal,” said sophomore Joe Franks. “Still a lot of people walking to classes. No one’s really even talking about it.”

“I just think that this specific incident was a targeted incident, so I’m not that worried about it,” said sophomore Dominick Hendricks.

No suspects are in custody. The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information, you’re asked to contact U.W. Oshkosh police.
