UWGB Black Student Union Hosts Soul Food Luncheon

In honor of Black History Month the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay hosted their 2019 Soul Food Luncheon. 

Food, dance and speakers packed the campus as people in the community celebrated women and African American culture. 

The luncheon was hosted by the Black Student Union and was planned because soul food has been a staple on the UW-Green Bay campus for about a decade    

Aisa Rogers, one of the event organizers, focused on community and the need for a event like this;

“It’s such a spaced out community that we want to bring more people in.”

Local Five’s Robyn Oguinye was the emcee for this event.
