Residents in Green Bay had the chance to compete in a video game tournament Sunday afternoon.

The 4th annual National Hockey League (NHL) 94 event was held at Edge VR Arcade in Green Bay on Packerland Drive.

The event featured tournaments for both the Genesis and the Super Nintendo Entertainment video game systems.

Competitor Francis Buennagel said he attends the event for his love of classic sports video games.

“I’m part of a group of guys in Chicago where we have a channel called the Retro Sports Game Channel,” Buennagel said.  “We hang out most Mondays, do a stream, and play retro sports video games.”

NHL 94 is the first hockey video game to be fully licensed by the NHL.
