VolunteerFEST On Tuesday Introduces Community To More Than 50 Nonprofits To Get Involved With

Local News

This Tuesday is Giving Tuesday, and in Menasha, a free event open to the public will connect the community to 53 nonprofits looking for volunteers.

VolunteerFEST, organized by Volunteer Fox Cities, runs from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Waverly Beach in Menasha on Tuesday.

“This is our sixth annual VolunteerFEST,” Kristin Cates, marketing and special events director with Volunteer Fox Cities, said. “Volunteer Fox Cities exists to educate people out in the community about our local nonprofits, and everything they can do to give back. Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity for us to hold this event every year. 53 nonprofits will be here. It’s just a really great, non-intimidating , non-threatening way for people to come in and learn more, and possibly start, sign up to volunteer  with an organization here.”

There will be door prizes, raffles, and free food and drinks.

The organizations help a range of different causes, from mentoring youth, counseling those with mental health needs, helping animals, improving the lives of veterans, and more.
