Fans at the Green Bay Distillery in Ashwaubenon gathered in their Wisconsin red to cheer on the Badgers who were trying to make it to the Sweet Sixteen for the third consecutive season and the sixth time in the last eight years.
When Bronson Koenig’s step back three from the corner swished through the net leaving zeros on the clock the crowd erupted in delight, leaving Tom Mueller in disbelief.
“That is clutch, said Mueller. “Bronson he did it before, to hit it at the end this is beautiful, hey final four who knows, I’m ecstatic, unbelievable”
On Wisconsin! The Badgers will play Notre Dame in the Sweet Sixteen as their improbable season continues under coach Greg Gard.
“Well I’m really pumped that Greg Guard has the Badgers going in the right direction,” said Brian Cassidy. “We’ve come a long way this season.”
