Twenty-one members of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce received a score of 100 and the distinction of being one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality” on the 2019 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) compiled by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation.

According to HRC, the CEI has three key pillars when critiquing businesses:

  • Non-discrimination policies across business entities
  • Equitable benefits for LGBTQ workers and their families
  • Supporting an inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility

The CEI report has been published by the HRC since 2002 and is based largely on the annual CEI survey administered to hundreds of major global employers.

The Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce serves as the business advocate and the link between business and government in an effort to promote equality and fairness for all, according to its website.

Those businesses receiving a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index, and who are members of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce, include:

Jason Rae, President and CEO of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce says,

We offer them our sincerest congratulations on this great achievement.”

According to the Chamber, a number of other businesses also produced high scores on the CEI.

  • GE, 90
