A woman is in the hospital with serious injuries after an incident last night in Fox Crossing, but according to police, what exactly happened remains a mystery.

At 10:12pm Wednesday night, Grand Chute Police arrived at the intersection Prospect Ave. and Northern Rd. between Butte Des Morts County Club and Highway 41, for what was reported as a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
“Officers and first responders arrived on scene and found a 27-year-old female lying on the pavement,” said Travis Waas, Grand Chute’s community resource officer. “They tended to her and she was transported to a local area hospital.”
That woman too hurt to talk to police about how she got there.
Police are trying to determine if this was a hit-and-run, or if the woman was pushed or had fallen out of a car.
There was nobody around to witness what had happened.
“There were no businesses open at the time and unfortunately no cameras in the area that would have caught anything,” said Waas.
Those who live in the area say County Road BB is rather busy, and can be dangerous to walk on with no sidewalks, especially at night.
“It’s always a tragedy when someone gets hit, especially if they don’t have any details and you don’t know what the outcome could possibly be,” said Audrey Koleske, who lives just hundreds of feet from the intersection.
Anyone that may have details or information about this incident is asked to contact the Grand Chute Police Department.
They can be reached at 920-832-1575, or to remain anonymous, you can text “GCPD” and your tip to the number: 847411.
