The Wounded Warrior Amputee Football Team will play Green Bay Packers alumni during the halftime of the Packers-Dolphins game on Sunday at Lambeau Field.
WWAFT will arrive at Lambeau Field on Sunday at 12:45 p.m. with a police escort.
It will be the 19th game WWAFT has played against NFL alumni. The WWAFT has a record of 19-0 versus NFL alumni teams.
“This is going to be the first time that we’ve ever gotten to play on a NFL field for one of our games, so we’re all pretty pumped up about this, and because it’s every kid’s dream to play under the lights of an NFL stadium,” Jeremy Stangel, a Marine, said.
The team also enjoyed barbeque at ZZQ’s on Saturday in Green Bay.
This Sunday is Veterans Day.
