GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Earlier in the week it was Earth Day and Saturday one local zoo celebrated a birthday.

While it technically wasn’t anybody’s real birthday, the New Zoo put on a party for the planet, and its animals, anyway.

Residents love to watch the animals tear into their presents.

Volunteer Coordinator Angela Kawski said, “Everyone does enjoy seeing the lions tear into their gifts because it’s always a big production. The bear is also a really popular addition because our young bear is always fun to watch.”

Zoo employees and guests even sang Happy Birthday to the animals.
