Shortage of Psychiatrists Becoming an Issue in NE Wisconsin

Wisconsin faces a growing shortage of psychiatrists and access to mental health services. A recent report from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services shows 49% of residents with a mental illness do not receive care. 76% of Wisconsin counties face a “significant shortage” of psychiatrists, with 20 having no psychiatrists at all.
