The Wisconsin Trade Industry: Finding Qualified Employees

Wisconsin’s unemployment rate droped to 2.9% in February which is good news for our state. But, even with this low number, there is a drawback. There are more jobs in the trade industry than there are qualified workers to fill these positions.

Wisconsin approved apprenticeship programs

On this week’s edition of Newsmaker Sunday, Tom Zalaski Talks with Jeff Knaus, the business manager for UA 400 Pipe Trades and Nels Lawrence the youth apprenticeship coordinator at Kaukauna High School about attracting and training students to pursue a career in the trade industry.
