Search For Victoria Prokopovitz

BROWN COUNTY, Wis (WFRV) The daughter of a missing Pittsfield woman is feeling hopeful after learning of new developments in that investigation.

The two-year anniversary of the disappearance for Victoria Prokopovitz was just a few weeks ago. Now according to the missing woman’s daughter, investigators recently searched the property where her mother was last seen.

Marsha Loritz tells Local 5 that last week, law enforcement searched her stepfather’s home on Kunesh Road in the town of Pittsfield, where Victoria was last seen alive.
The 59-year-old vanished from there in April of 2013, leaving behind her purse, money and cellphone. Brown County investigators have been looking for her ever since.

Loritz says her stepfather told her about the search – but she has no idea what prompted it.

“It’s a weird feeling because in some respects you are happy that there is movement – yet in another it is scary,” said Loritz. “We don’t want to keep living in the situation we are in the last two years, so answers are very much looked forward to.”

Local 5 attempted to speak with Brown County investigators about the case and these new developments but had no luck.

If you have information about Victoria’s disappearance you’re urged to call Crime Stoppers at 432-STOP. The family says there is an $11,000 reward if your tip leads to an arrest.
