UWGB Curling Club Looks for Second National Championship

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WFRV) – The Curling Club of UW-Green Bay is getting ready to defend it’s national title.

This weekend, the team is heading to Rochester New York to take part in the 2015 College Curling National Championship.

Wedesday, the team made some final tuneups before they begin traveling to the tournament.

The curling club is only the 2nd team in university history to win a national title, and members say they’re hungry for a repeat.

The team is being forced to fund the trip themselves because of UW-Green Bay’s club funding rules. They’ve started a kickstarter fund to help out. If you’d like to pitch in click here, or you can head to their facebook page here.
