GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Nearly 33,000 new cases of cancer are expected to be found in Wisconsin in 2015.

That’s why a local group is raising awareness with the hopes of finding a cure for the disease.

Local 5’s Elsa Robins spoke with cancer survivor Nick Nesvacil about his experience and how he is raising awareness in schools across Northeast Wisconsin.

Nick says he started the Sting Cancer group in 2003 with a few students, and since it has grown to hundreds of students in 27 area schools.
