Bay Port’s Baranczyk, Xavier’s Phakamad Win State Girl’s Golf Championships

Bay Port sophomore Jo Baranczyk (-2) won the WIAA Division 1 Individual State Girl’s Golf Championship Tuesday at University Ridge Golf Course in Madison.

Baranczyk birdied her final hole to win by one stroke and become the first Green Bay area girl’s state golf champion.

In Division 2, Xavier’s Clair Phakamad claimed medalist honors with a two day score of +8. The Hawks also finished as Team State Runners-Up behind Madison Edgewood.
