Brewers 1B Jesus Aguilar won Major League Baseball’s “Final Vote,” and will represent the National League in the All-Star Game on July 17th.

Aguilar accumulated 20.2 million votes to securing his first Midsummer Classic selection. His vote total marked the second-highest total ever in a Final Vote, behind only Justin Turner of the Los Angeles Dodgers (20.8 million in 2017).

Aguilar was snubbed prior to the last chance fan voting despite tying for the NL lead with 23 HR’s, while also compiling 63 RBI, a .302 batting average, and leading the league in slugging percentage (.631) and OPS (1.000).

Aguilar will join LHP Josh Hader, and OF’s Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain on the National League All-Star team.
