The Brewers stunned the Cubs to claim their first division title since 2011, as they defeated Chicago 3-1 in a close tie-breaker game at Wrigley Field.

Orlando Arcia was the star of the game, going 4-for-4 at the plate. He also scored the Brewers’ first run in the third inning thanks to a single by Christian Yelich, and then added the go-ahead run in the eighth inning off Cubs reliever Justin Wilson. Lorenzo Cain hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the same inning.

After a strong outing by starting pitcher Jhoulys Chacin, Josh Hader came on to shut down the Cubs in the final two innings.

As such, the Brewers have now won eight straight games and have earned home-field advantage throughout the NL playoffs. They’ll advance to a divisional playoff series against the winner of Tuesday’s National League wild card game on Thursday at Miller Park, in a best-of-five Division series.
