Fullback Alec Ingold was one of 13 former players who participated at Badgers Pro Day. The former Bay Port standout was the only fullback invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, where he was able to speak with all 32 NFL teams, as he tried to prove his value at the next level.
“Going through this whole process, if you don’t see yourself being a draft pick and believing that then you know it’s probably not going to happen,” Ingold said. “Starting this process that was my mindset. Everything I am doing I am thinking that, and embracing that, so anytime these teams, scouts, coaches are seeing me, that’s what they see. A guy who is confident and thinks he should be a pick.”
Ingold did all the drills at the combine last month and was happy with his times, so he did nothing but field drills Wednesday morning.
Here were Ingold’s stats from Indianapolis: 40-yard dash (4.89), broad jump (116″), vertical jump (34″), bench press (16), 3-cone drill (7.35) and 20-yard shuttle (4.32).
