UPDATE: Names of house fire victims have been released

BEAVER DAM, Wis. (WFRV) — The names of the 82-year-old woman who died and the 91-year-old man who was injured in a house fire in the Beaver Dam area have been released.

The Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the woman who died at the hospital was identified as Eleanor Neumann at N7295 Watercress Ln. in the Town of Westford.

The surviving resident of the home was Ruben Neumann.

The cause of the fire and cause of death, are still under investigation.

BEAVER DAM, Wis. (AP) — An 82-year-old woman has died and a 91-year-old man was injured in a house fire in Beaver Dam.

Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the fire was reported after 10 p.m. Thursday.

The woman was pulled from the home by deputies, but died at the hospital. The man was also taken to a hospital and was being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the sheriff’s office and the state fire marshal.
