Kewaunee County’s coronavirus case total surpasses 60

KEWAUNEE CO., Wis. (WFRV) – Kewaunee County’s cumulative coronavirus case total has surpassed 60, according to a Monday update.

County health officials say 64 positive cases have been reported – 10 of which are active. One Kewaunee County resident has died after testing positive for coronavirus while 54 have recovered from the virus. Over 1,700 negative tests have been reported within the county.

Kewaunee County’s coronavirus case total exceeds 50

KEWAUNEE CO., Wis. (WFRV) – Over 50 cumulative coronavirus cases have been reported in Kewaunee County.

County health officials say 57 positive cases have been reported – nine of which are active. One Kewaunee County resident has died after testing positive for coronavirus while 47 have recovered from the virus. Over 1,600 negative tests have been reported within the county.

Kewaunee County makes up less than one percent of Wisconsin’s total cases.

Kewaunee County’s COVID-19 case total surpasses 40

KEWAUNEE CO., Wis. (WFRV) – Kewaunee County’s coronavirus case total has surpassed 40, according to a Tuesday update.

County health officials say 44 positive cases have been reported in the county. One Kewaunee County resident has died after testing positive for coronavirus. Over 1,400 negative tests have been reported in the county and 39 are awaiting test results.

Kewaunee County’s COVID-19 case total surpasses 30

KEWAUNEE CO., Wis. (WFRV) – Kewaunee County’s coronavirus case total has surpassed 30, according to a Monday update.

County health officials say a total of 31 Kewaunee County residents have tested positive for the virus. Within the county, 63 residents are awaiting results and 492 have tested negative. One Kewaunee County resident that tested positive for coronavirus has died.

Kewaunee County coronavirus case total surpasses 20

KEWAUNEE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Kewaunee County’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus has surpassed 20, according to county health officials.

As of Tuesday, health officials say 25 positive cases have been confirmed in the county, 15 of which are considered active. Nine Kewaunee County residents have recovered from the virus while one has died.

There have been over 8,500 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Wisconsin.

Coronavirus case total reaches 13 in Kewaunee County, 6 considered active

KEWAUNEE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Kewaunee County Public Health says 13 total cases of coronavirus have been confirmed within the county.

Of the county’s 13 cases, six are considered active, six are considered recovered, and one resident has died as a result of coronavirus-related complications.

Kewaunee County’s confirmed cases make up less than 1 percent of Wisconsin’s total 6,520 cases.

Kewaunee County coronavirus case total hits 10, 3 considered active

KEWAUNEE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Another positive case of coronavirus has been confirmed in Kewaunee County, bringing the county total to 10.

The Kewaunee County Public Health Department says of those 10 cases, three remain active and six have been cleared. The county confirmed its first coronavirus-related death in mid-April.

Over 6,000 Wisconsinites have tested positive for coronavirus.

Nine total coronavirus cases confirmed in Kewaunee County, five considered active

KEWAUNEE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Nine total Kewaunee County residents have tested positive for coronavirus, according to the county Public Health Department.

Of those nine, five are considered active. Kewaunee County reported its first coronavirus-related death last week.

As of Thursday, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services confirmed over 5,000 positive cases of coronavirus within the state.

Kewaunee County coronavirus case count reaches eight

KEWAUNEE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – As of Thursday, there have been eight confirmed coronavirus cases in Kewaunee County, according to the Kewaunee County Health Department.

On Tuesday, the county confirmed its first coronavirus-related death – 88-year-old Jerry Simonar, a Korean veteran and long-time business leader from Luxemburg.

There are over 3,800 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Wisconsin and nearly 200 deaths.

LUXEMBURG, Wis. (WFRV) – A Kewaunee County resident who has died due to coroanvirus complications has been identified as a long-time business leader from Luxemburg.

According to DoorCountyDailyNews.com, 88-year-old Jerry Simonar, a Korean War veteran, passed away Monday. Simonar was to participate in the upcoming Honor Flight Return to Korea trip that was canceled in February.

DoorCountyDailyNews.com says Simonar started the Simonar Sports business, which sells ATVs and snowmobiles, back in 1962 with his late brothers, Leroy and Richard.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Kewaunee County has four confirmed cases of coronavirus, making up less than one percent of Wisconsin’s 3,555 cases.

Health officials confirm Kewaunee County’s first coronavirus-related death

KEWAUNEE CO, Wis. (WFRV) – Kewaunee County health officials have confirmed the county’s first coronavirus-related death.

Officials say the Kewaunee County resident passed away on Monday. The individuals that had been in close contact with this resident have been asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.

As of Tuesday morning, Kewaunee County has confirmed 5 positive cases of the virus, 78 negative tests results, and 28 residents are awaiting results.

County total climbs to four

KEWAUNEE CO., Wis. (WFRV) – Since confirms its first case last week, Kewaunee County has seen an increase of three cases.

According to health officials, the county now has four total cases. A total of 61 Kewaunee County residents have tested negative for coronavirus.

As of Monday afternoon, 3,428 Wisconsinites have tested positive for coronavirus. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says 154 have died due to coronavirus-related complications.

Original Story: Officials confirm first case

KEWAUNEE COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Kewaunee County Public Health Department confirmed on Sunday the county’s first case of COVID-19.

The Director of the Kewaunee County Public Health Department, Cindy Kinnard, RN, says, “The patient is in their 80s and was hospitalized over the weekend. This is the beginning of our investigation and that is all of the information we can release at this time.”

Kinnard continues, “We are very fortunate to have made it this long without a confirmed case of COVID-19 in Kewaunee County. The Public Health Department will continue to closely monitor the
well-being of our first resident confirmed to be battling COVID-19 as well as pending test results of others, and we will keep the public informed as best as we can.”

The Kewaunee County Public Health Department says they are working to identify and contact
others who may have been in close contact with the person diagnosed with coronavirus and that those individuals will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days.

Kewaunee County reports having 62 residents tested for COVID-19 with only one positive
case so far and 51 negative for the coronavirus.

Officials say there are 10 tests pending for Kewaunee County.

Kewaunee Health Department is encouraging residents that if they feel that they have been exposed to COVID-19 or have questions, to stay home and contact their primary care provider.
