From Storm Team 5…
A big switch up with our weather from the start of the day to the end! Warm temperatures in the 40s with spotty light rain showers anticipated this morning. By this afternoon, there will be a transition to snow showers starting from the north as temperatures fall into the 30s, and could be patches of freezing rain in between.
Tonight, winds becoming increasingly breezy. There will be snow showers favoring the southern section that will taper off before midnight. Lows tonight drop into the mid teens, with wind chills in the single digits.
Tomorrow, much cooler with the temperatures as highs only make it into the mid 20s. Some sunshine will start to arrive Saturday morning.
Looking ahead: Snow accumulations possible again Monday going into Tuesday next week just in time for the new year. Very cold air will arrive behind that system with highs in the teens by Wednesday.
