From Storm Team 5…
A bitter cold start, but warmer air will return today! Northeast Wisconsin has been sub-zero since Tuesday afternoon! By the later morning, temps will be back above zero, then mid teens for the second half of the day. Partly sunny skies will be found above, favoring more clouds at times.
Tonight, mostly cloudy skies and increasing temperatures expected. Lows temperatures will come during the evening with a slow rise overnight.
Saturday is Groundhog’s Day! Locally we will see lots of cloud cover. Warmer air continues to move into Wisconsin as our highs move into the 30s! Later in the day, there will be a better chance to see some patchy drizzle. Some of the drizzle could freeze over with road temperatures being so cold.
Even warmer we go into Sunday with highs approaching all-time records. The record is 44 degrees, and temperatures are forecasted to reach the mid 40s. Don’t expect a lot of sunshine as clouds will bring drizzle and rain at times, maybe even some fog with melting snow.
