Good Friday morning! Lots of clouds to open but some breaks for sun eventually materialize as we go along, particularly this afternoon. Temperatures top out in much chillier territory in the upper 50s today. West winds continue breezy at 10-20 mph.
Tonight we look for skies to clear out as winds slacken off. With a dry atmosphere in place, we will see good radiational cooling and overnight lows are expected to drop into the lower to middle 30s to begin Saturday.
We look for sunshine to go through Saturday morning but high & mid-level clouds slowly thicken up filtering and dimming sunshine through the afternoon. Cool temps only reach the low to mid 50s on the first half of our weekend.
Spotty / scattered showers are likely to develop overnight Saturday into Sunday morning. Additional scattered showers can be here and there through Sunday morning and afternoon but widespread activity is not anticipated. Nonetheless, be prepared for at least some wet weather for the Packers / Bills game at Lambeau. Expect readings in the middle 50s.
Sunday night into Monday morning sees more widespread and persistent rains develop locally. Heavier periods of rain will be possible on Monday with an inch or two of rain on the table before this latest weather disturbance slides off to the east later in the evening. Highs on Monday top out in the mid to upper 50s.
Tuesday starts off with clouds but some sunshine emerges as we go along. The mercury works back to near 60 to the lower 60s by day’s end.
Wednesday sees a return to brisk southerly winds as a warm front approaches from the southwest early in the day. This warm front may be accompanied by a period of showers and thunderstorms. Sunshine, however, breaks out by the afternoon and temperatures jump into the 70s.
A new cold front arrives for Thursday dropping temperatures back down closer to 60 degrees for daytime highs.
