From Storm Team 5…
A CLOUDY DAY WITH SOME SNOW SHOWERS TO GREET THE DAY – NOW A COLD FRONT WILL BRING IN A FRESH BACK OF COLD AIR AND WIND AS WE HEAD INTO TONIGHT AND TUESDAY. LOWS WILL BE IN THE LOWER TEENS WITH WIND CHILLS TO TEN BELOW ZERO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. THE NEXT CHANCE FOR SNOW WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY.
Wind chills will be in sub-zero territory by tomorrow morning as actual readings on the thermometer drop into the low to mid teens. Mostly cloudy skies will carry through tonight into tomorrow morning for Green Bay to the Fox Cities.
Lots of clouds will be around for a number of hours on Tuesday though a bit of sun may try to emerge the further south and west you reside within the viewing area mainly during the afternoon. Highs on Tuesday will be very chilly in the upper teens. Northwest winds are to be brisk around 15 mph but will come down through the mid-late afternoon period.
Wednesday brings a renewed chance for scattered flurries and snow showers amidst very cold temperatures topping out close to 20 degrees. A dusting or coating of snow will be possible.
Thursday maintains mostly cloudy skies along with some scattered flurries. The mercury does not get much higher than the middle 20’s. Friday sees lots of clouds and perhaps some scattered flurries especially later in the day. A bit milder air streams in and temps reach to close to 30 degrees by day’s end.
The forecast becomes trickier by the upcoming weekend with a new system expected to bring a bit of a wintry mixture on Saturday and perhaps even a few snow showers or flurries into Sunday as well. Lots of time for things to change with this forecast so stay tuned in over the next few days. Highs likely will be a touch milder ranging from the upper 20s to lower 30’s or so.
