From Storm Team 5…
We had a beautiful Sunday afternoon out there as temperatures entered the upper 70s and lower 80s, and humidity levels stayed down away from the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Tonight, only a few clouds are anticipated overnight with comfortable temperatures falling back into the 50s before we open up the day tomorrow.
Monday will bring another round of sunshine and a few clouds, but temperatures still on the cool side for the end of June. We’ll have high temperatures again enter the 70s away from the water.
Late Monday night into Tuesday is when we expect the soggy weather to make a return. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will come about from time to time on Tuesday. Highs will also be in the low to mid 70s.
Wednesday could sport a morning rain showers, but we will proceed to clear out and dry out heading through the back half of the day. Temperatures begin to warm up from here, pushing into the upper 70s and lower 80s.
A big time warm up will be coming about starting Thursday as tropical heat and humidity makes the trek into the Midwest. Area-wide 80 degree temperatures can be expected Thursday afternoon. By Friday and Saturday, the thermometer will skyrocket into the 90s. Heat indices will be elevated as well, meaning feels-like temperatures with the humidity will approach 100 degrees!
