From Storm Team 5…
Few showers today, but not for long. Spotty rain chances will be limited to the southern sections of the area through mid-morning. Later in the afternoon, skies will start to clear out for some sunshine.
Highs will be mild – reaching the upper 50s to lower 60s. It does stay cooler by Lake Michigan with NE winds, and temps in the low 50s there.
Tonight, partly cloudy conditions will lead to mostly cloudy skies overnight. Lows will drop into the mid and upper 30s.
Keep the umbrella handy tomorrow! Rain and thunderstorms will move up along a warm front through the morning, keeping those chances going into the afternoon. Severe weather is not expected, but a few of the thunderstorms could produce heavy rain or small hail. Highs will be a touch cooler near 50 degrees.
Rain chances will turn down a bit Thursday, but there still could be some scattered light rain showers. North winds will be breezy, keeping highs around 48 degrees.
Over the course of Wednesday and Thursday, rain totals could exceed over an inch of rain with thunderstorms. We’ll have to continue to watch the potential for river flooding, especially north where there is still snow to melt.
Friday gets nice again! Partly sunny skies and warmer temperatures that will again reach the upper 50s.
