(WFRV) – They are Your Local Experts in Chiropractic Care and at Wyss Family Clinic of Chiropractic Health, they realize that overall health includes good nutrition.
Doctors Julie and Skip shows Local 5 Live how making your own baby food doesn’t have to be intimidating.
Homemade Baby Food
Organic Vegetables: green beans, carrots, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, squash, sweet potatoes
Organic Fruits: apples, pears
Clean vegetables. You can steam the veggies or bake them in the oven. If the oven is on, throw in some veggies too! Feel free to lightly season!
Clean fruit. Peel and chop into pieces. Place in oven save baking dish.
You may add a little water to keep from browning on the bottom.
Steam or bake at 350 degrees until soft and mushy. Remove from oven and let cool. Once cooled, place in food processor/bullet and puree until smooth. Pour into ice cube trays and freeze. Once frozen, place in freezer safe containers. You now have easy and serving size meals for your little one.
To serve, let sit to defrost or place in pan to heat or glass dish to microwave.
